Stay Safe on ZaphWork

Your security is our priority. Learn how to protect yourself and your earnings.

Your Payments Are Protected

Every payment on ZaphWork is secured by smart contract escrow. When a client posts a task, their payment is locked in escrow before any work begins. This means:

  • Funds are guaranteed before you start working
  • Payment is released instantly when work is approved
  • No one can take your money once it's in escrow

Red Flags to Watch For

Requests for off-platform payment

Never pay or accept payment outside ZaphWork. You lose all protection.

Asks for seed phrase or private key

No legitimate task ever requires your wallet seed phrase or private key.

Requests to install unknown software

Be cautious of tasks asking you to download or install unfamiliar programs.

Too good to be true offers

Extremely high pay for simple tasks is often a scam setup.

Urgency and pressure tactics

Scammers create false urgency to prevent you from thinking clearly.

Requests for personal information

Never share ID documents, bank details, or passwords for tasks.

Suspicious links or attachments

Don't click links or download files from untrusted sources.

Vague task descriptions

Legitimate clients provide clear, detailed task requirements.

Safe Practices

Always use escrow

Never start work until payment is locked in escrow. The "Payment Secured" badge confirms funds are protected.

Keep communication on platform

All messages on ZaphWork are saved and can be used as evidence in disputes. Off-platform communication has no protection.

Verify before you trust

Check user profiles, ratings, and completed work history before accepting tasks or hiring workers.

Understand the payment flow

Client funds escrow → Freelancer completes task → Client approves → Payment released instantly. No exceptions.

Trust your instincts

If something feels wrong, it probably is. Report suspicious activity and move on.

Common Scams to Avoid

The "Test Task" Scam

Scammer asks you to complete a "test task" for free or very low pay, promising bigger paid work later. The bigger work never comes.

How to protect yourself: Never work for free. All legitimate clients pay for test work through escrow.

The "Overpayment" Scam

Client "accidentally" sends too much money and asks you to return the difference. The original payment is fraudulent and gets reversed.

How to protect yourself: Only accept exact payment amounts through escrow. Never return "overpayments."

The "Wallet Drainer" Task

Task asks you to connect your wallet to a suspicious website or sign a transaction. This can drain your entire wallet.

How to protect yourself: Never connect your wallet to unknown sites. Never sign transactions you don't understand.

The "KYC Verification" Scam

Fake client requests ID documents or personal information for "verification" before starting work.

How to protect yourself: ZaphWork never requires KYC for workers. Report anyone asking for ID documents.

The "Advance Fee" Scam

Client asks you to pay a fee upfront for equipment, training, or access before you can start working.

How to protect yourself: Legitimate clients never ask workers to pay anything. All fees are deducted from payments.
