How ZaphWork Works
Understanding the complete workflow for Tasks, Gigs, and Remote Work
Tasks: One-Time Microtasks
Tasks are perfect for one-time jobs that need to be completed quickly. Here's the complete lifecycle from posting to payment.
Post Your Task
Clients create a task with a clear description, requirements, deadline, and reward amount. The task is immediately visible to all freelancers on the platform.
Freelancers Apply
Interested freelancers browse available tasks and submit applications explaining why they're the best fit. Freelancers can include their relevant experience and estimated completion time.
Assign to Freelancer
The client reviews applications and assigns the task to their chosen freelancer. At this point, funds are locked in escrow to protect both parties.
Escrow Protection: The reward amount is locked in the smart contract. The client can't withdraw it, and the freelancer is guaranteed payment upon approval.
Submit Work
The freelancer completes the task and submits their deliverables. This can include files, links, or detailed descriptions of the completed work. The client is notified immediately.
Review & Approve
The client reviews the submitted work. If satisfied, they approve the task. If revisions are needed, they can request changes with specific feedback.
Instant Payment
Once approved, payment is released instantly from escrow to the freelancer's wallet. The freelancer receives 100% of the posted reward (platform fee is paid by the client).
Gigs: Predefined Services
Gigs are services that freelancers offer repeatedly. Think of them as a menu of services that clients can order instantly without negotiation.
Create Your Gig
Freelancers create a gig listing with a clear service description, deliverables, delivery time, and price. This becomes a reusable service offering.
Client Places Order
Clients browse gig listings and place an order when they find a service they need. They can include specific requirements or instructions for the freelancer.
Fund the Order
The client funds the order, and the payment is locked in escrow. The freelancer is notified and can begin work immediately.
Escrow Protection: Funds are held securely until the work is delivered and approved. Both parties are protected throughout the process.
Deliver Work
The freelancer completes the service according to the gig description and delivers the final work. Deliverables can include files, links, or detailed reports.
Review & Approve
The client reviews the delivered work. They can approve it or request revisions with specific feedback. Most gigs include one round of revisions.
Instant Payment
Upon approval, payment is released instantly from escrow to the freelancer. The freelancer receives 100% of the gig price (platform fee is paid by the client).
Remote Work: Ongoing Contractor Relationships
Remote Work positions are for longer-term contractor relationships with weekly payments. Perfect for ongoing projects that need consistent attention.
Post the Position
Clients post a remote work position with job description, required skills, weekly hours, and weekly rate. The position is visible to all freelancers.
Freelancers Apply
Interested freelancers submit applications with their relevant experience, portfolio, and why they're a great fit for the ongoing role.
Hire the Freelancer
The client reviews applications and hires their chosen freelancer. The freelancer begins work immediately with clear expectations and deliverables.
Weekly Escrow: Each week's payment is held in escrow before the work period begins, ensuring freelancers are always paid on time.
Weekly Work Cycle
The freelancer completes their weekly tasks and submits regular updates. Communication happens through the platform's messaging system.
Weekly Payments
At the end of each week, payment is automatically released from escrow to the freelancer. The cycle continues for as long as both parties want to continue the relationship.
Timeline Expectations
Understanding typical timelines helps set realistic expectations for all parties.

All payments on ZaphWork are instant once approved. The Solana blockchain processes transactions in seconds, so you never have to wait days for payment processing.
Escrow Protection at Every Stage
ZaphWork uses smart contract escrow to protect both clients and freelancers throughout every transaction. Here's how you're protected:
For Freelancers
- Funds are locked before you start work
- Client can't withdraw payment once work begins
- Guaranteed payment upon approval
- Dispute resolution if issues arise
For Clients
- Funds stay in escrow until you approve
- Request revisions before approving
- Only pay when satisfied with the work
- Dispute resolution if work isn't delivered
🔒 Smart Contract Security:
The escrow system runs on Solana smart contracts, which means the rules are enforced by code, not by humans. No one at ZaphWork can access escrowed funds - they can only be released according to the smart contract rules.
